Tocaro Blue set out to redefine maritime safety and convenience through LirPro, an intelligent boat monitoring system.
The goal: to help owners and operators stay connected to their vessels—anytime, anywhere.
unosquare partnered from concept to launch, designing and developing a consumer-ready mobile app that integrates IoT sensors, real-time data visualization, and smart alerts.
The result: a scalable, intuitive system that transforms boats into connected assets.
Challenge
Modern boat monitoring required more than just sensor data. Tocaro Blue needed to:
Build a reliable, low-latency communication layer between devices and the cloud.
Create a user-friendly interface capable of handling complex data in simple terms.
Ensure scalability and performance for both personal and commercial use cases.
Solution
unosquare’s embedded team collaborated closely with Tocaro Blue’s engineering group to design, develop, and deploy the full product experience.

Software Engineering COE → Developed the React Native mobile application and implemented MQTT-based real-time synchronization optimized for constrained maritime networks.
Cloud & Infrastructure COE → Built secure AWS Kinesis data pipelines with encryption, fault tolerance, and resilient streaming capabilities to support continuous vessel connectivity.
Data COE → Structured and synchronized telemetry datasets to enable real-time visualization, intelligent alerting, and scalable monitoring across diverse vessel environments.
Quality Engineering COE → Executed comprehensive end-to-end validation across mobile, IoT, and cloud layers to guarantee consistent performance under real-world maritime conditions.
Design COE→ Translated complex vessel health and environmental data into an intuitive, mobile-first experience supporting seamless onboarding and operational clarity.
