Full Stack and DevOps Support for HVAC as a Service
5 years building and scaling Fujitsu’s AirStage Cloud platform.
Results
Successfully launched AirStage Cloud, Fujitsu’s multi-site HVAC management system.
Refactored legacy systems into a scalable, maintainable cloud-based web application.
Reduced operational complexity and maintenance costs through automation and DevOps integration.
Established a long-term engineering partnership across five specialized teams.
Highlights / Intro
Fujitsu was developing an innovative multi-site HVAC management system, AirStage Cloud—to provide real-time monitoring and control for commercial building environments.
To accelerate development and ensure scalability, Fujitsu partnered with unosquare to expand engineering capacity across R&D, front-end, back-end, and DevOps disciplines.
The collaboration led to the successful launch of the platform and evolved into a five-year partnership supporting continuous innovation and operational excellence.
Challenge
Fujitsu needed to:
Transition from legacy architecture to a scalable, cloud-based environment.
Accelerate time-to-market for AirStage Cloud.
Build a flexible development model capable of supporting new features and automation testing.
Reduce infrastructure costs and streamline operations.
Solution
unosquare embedded a multidisciplinary nearshore team to refactor existing applications, develop the AirStage Cloud web platform, and implement DevOps best practices.
The initiative focused on delivering a scalable, secure, and cost-efficient AWS-based infrastructure that supported a shift toward microservices and automated delivery.
Today, unosquare continues to support five core teams across automation testing, front-end and back-end development, UX/UI design, and DevOps—helping Fujitsu sustain product reliability and continuous innovation.
Scope:
- Full Stack Development (Front-end, Back-end)
- R&D and Feature Development
- DevOps Automation and CI/CD
- UX/UI Design
Tech Stack
Vue.js, Node.js, Python, JavaScript
